Sai Kiran Flowers Stall

Our stall is at B/5/8 on Ashwani Kumar Road, which most people just call A K Road, in Goregaon West. We are right near the Datta Mandir. It’s a very busy street with a lot of rickshaws and buses going by all day. Sai Kiran Flowers Stall is just a basic structure on the side of the road. We’ve been here for a long time, through all kinds of weather. When the monsoon hits, we have to pull down big plastic sheets to keep the rain out. It’s a bit of a struggle, but we manage. We get our flowers delivered early in the morning, and the rest of the day is spent making garlands and sorting through the loose blooms. It’s hard work on the fingers, especially when the flowers are small. We don't have any fancy signs or lights. We just have our buckets and a few wooden boards to show what we have. The temple brings a lot of people to this road, so we are usually quite busy in the mornings and evenings. We don't have a computer or anything, just a small drawer where we keep the cash and a little notebook. We aren't a big company, just a small family stall trying to get by. It’s dusty and loud here on A K Road, but it’s where we’ve always been and we know all our neighbors.
