Sai Baba Engineering

Sai Baba Engineering is based in Gala No 5, inside the D'Souza Compound. This is in Andheri East, near the Residency Road and St Marks Road area. It’s a busy spot with lots of small workshops packed together. We do a lot of general engineering work here. The compound is always full of trucks and people moving materials. Our gala is quite small but we make use of every inch of space we have. There are welding machines, drills, and pieces of scrap metal everywhere. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. We usually have the doors open to get some air in. People stop by all day asking for small repairs or custom metal work. We’ve been in this compound for years and we know the other guys in the neighboring galas. Sometimes it’s a bit loud with all the grinding and hammering going on. We don’t have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people knowing we are here. Most of our work comes from word of mouth around Andheri. We just try to do a decent job on whatever comes through the door. It’s hard work, especially in the heat, but it keeps us busy. We just take things one job at a time and try to stay organized. The floor is concrete and stained with oil, which is pretty standard for a place like this. We usually shut down around seven. It's a long day for us.
