Saba Engineering Works

If you're looking for Saba Engineering Works, you have to head into the Ramji Patel Compound. It’s near Rani Sati Marg in Malad East. We are in Gala Number 6. The compound is one of those places that stays busy from early morning until late at night. You’ll hear the sounds of metal hitting metal and machines humming before you even see our door. It’s a bit dusty, and there is always some grease around on the surfaces, but that is just the nature of engineering work. We don't have a shiny lobby or air conditioning in the workshop. It’s a practical space where we get things made and fixed. Working in Pathan Wadi means we are part of a tight-knit group of shops and small businesses. We know the neighbors, and they know us. Most of our day is spent at the workbench or handling tools. It isn't glamorous, and we don't try to pretend it is. We just focus on the task in front of us. If you come by, you’ll probably see us in our work clothes, probably busy with a specific part or some welding. The directions can be a little confusing if it’s your first time, but once you find the compound, Gala 6 isn't too hard to spot. We’ve been operating out of this same spot for quite a while now. It’s where we belong, right in the heart of the Malad industrial noise, doing our thing.
