S V Mestry Engineering Works

If you head over to Borivali East and look for the Blue Rose Industrial Estate, you will find us at unit 28. We are right opposite the Magathane Depot, so there are always buses moving around nearby. S V Mestry Engineering Works has been running out of this space for quite a few years. It is a proper engineering workshop with all the smells and sounds you would expect. There is usually the sound of metal being worked on or a lathe running somewhere in the background. We have a small team of guys who really know their way around the machinery. The floor is often covered in metal shavings and we have to sweep it up constantly to keep things tidy. It is a bit of a tight squeeze with all the equipment we have crammed in there, but we manage to get things done. We don't have any big signs or fancy decorations. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for a long time. We start our day early when the estate is just waking up and we usually keep going until late in the evening. It’s hard work and your hands are almost always greasy by lunch time. We like being in this part of Borivali because it feels like a real hub for this kind of engineering stuff. We just focus on the jobs we have and try to keep the machines running smoothly every day.
