S R Engineering Works

If you head down to Sakinaka and look for the Bhavsar Compound, you will find us at S R Engineering Works. We have number 41308. It is a bit of a dusty area because of all the work going on around here, but that is just part of the job. We do a lot of metal work and fixing things up. The machines can be quite loud, so usually we are shouting over the noise to hear each other. It’s not a quiet office job, that’s for sure. My hands are usually covered in grease by noon, and the floor is always covered in metal shavings. We have been in this compound for years. Everyone knows everyone else around here. If a neighbor needs a tool, they come over, and we do the same. It is a practical way to live. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby with chairs. If you come by, you’ll probably find us near the lathe or welding something in the back. The roof gets hot in the afternoons, but we have a few big fans that help a bit. People bring us their broken parts or designs they need made, and we just figure out how to get it done. There is no manual for everything, you just learn as you go. We don't use fancy words for what we do. It’s just engineering work, plain and simple.
