S N Engineering Works

Down in Kurla West 3, things are always a bit chaotic. S N Engineering Works is tucked into a corner where the alley gets narrow. We’ve got the heavy lathes and the smell of cutting oil that never really leaves your clothes. People come to us when something breaks or they need a specific piece of metal cut to size. We don't have a big marketing team or a website that looks pretty. Most of our work comes from the other shops nearby that know we have the right tools for the job. The floor is usually covered in iron shavings, and you have to watch your step. It’s been this way for years. We open early when the air is still a bit cool because once those machines start running, the temperature climbs fast. My father used to say that if your hands are clean at the end of the day, you didn't do much. We take that to heart. It’s a loud place, full of clanking and the hum of the motors. Sometimes the power goes out, and we all just sit on the bench outside until it comes back on. That’s just how it is in Kurla. We don't promise anything fancy, just that we will put the effort into the metal until it’s right. It’s a simple life, working with steel and iron. We’ve been at this for a long time and don't plan on moving.
