Ruturang Tours & Travels

We are up on the second floor near Acharya College on Dr Ambedkar Road. Chembur is a busy place, and being near the college means there’s always people walking around outside. Ruturang Tours & Travels isn’t a huge agency with a storefront on the street. You have to come up the stairs to find us. We spend our days looking at maps, checking train schedules, and trying to piece together trips for families. It’s a lot of clicking on websites and making phone calls to hotels. The office is small and filled with old brochures and calendars. We don't have any fancy posters, just some pictures of places people actually go. Sometimes the internet goes slow right when we are trying to book a ticket, which is frustrating for everyone involved. We know the area well since we’ve been here at 51/1764 for a long time. People from the neighborhood usually just walk in to ask about bus timings or how to get to the airport. We don't promise anything crazy, we just try to help people get where they need to go without too much trouble. It gets a bit warm in the afternoons when the sun hits the windows, but we have a fan that does its job. Dealing with travel means things change fast, so we’re always updating our notes and schedules. It's a modest setup, just some desks and chairs and us trying to make sense of different travel routes for the locals. It's steady work and keeps us busy.
