Rupam Masala Store

Rupam Masala Store is a small place located in Andheri East, specifically at Popat Wadi, Shop No 2 in the Kiran Building. It’s easy to miss if you aren't looking for it, but usually, you can smell the spices before you even see the sign. We have bags and jars of different masalas all over the place. We spend a lot of time weighing things out for customers who come in. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand for everyone. The floor is usually covered in a bit of spice dust, no matter how much we sweep it up. We’ve been in this neighborhood for years, and we know most of the people who live in the building and around the corner. We don't have a website or any fancy technology. We just open the shutters in the morning and start our day. Some days we are busy grinding and mixing, other days we just sit and wait for the afternoon rush to start. It’s a quiet life for the most part. The jars on the shelves are a bit disorganized, but we know exactly where everything is. We just sell spices to people who want to cook at home for their families. It’s a basic shop without any frills or decorations. We like it that way because it's what we know. The regulars keep us going.
