Rufy International

Our place, Rufy International, is situated at Masjid Bunder West, number 83. If you’ve ever walked around Masjid Bunder, you know it’s a world of its own with all the wholesalers and the narrow lanes. It is a bit chaotic outside our door, but once you step inside, it’s a bit calmer. We’ve been at this address for quite a while now. The space is small and every inch is used for something, whether it’s stacks of paper or spare chairs. We don't really have a reception area; you just walk in and one of us will look up from what we’re doing. It’s a very hands-on kind of environment. We don’t use fancy language or try to impress anyone with big talk. We just do the work that needs doing. Sometimes the electricity goes off for a bit, so we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s a friendly enough atmosphere. Most of the people we deal with are also from the neighborhood or have businesses nearby. We’ve got a small window that looks out onto the street, but there’s so much dust we mostly keep it shut. We’re just regular people trying to run a business in one of the busiest parts of the city. It’s not always easy, but we’ve gotten used to the pace of life here at number 83. Every morning we open up and start all over again until it is time to go.
