Rrefcon Chiller

Getting to our place at Pravasi Industrial Estate can be a bit of a headache with the Goregaon East traffic, especially near Gate No. 2 off Raaray Road. But once you're inside Rrefcon Chiller, it’s all about the cooling systems. We spend a lot of time looking at pipes, compressors, and gauges. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. The workshop is tucked away in unit 7, B/2, and it’s usually packed with units waiting for repairs or assembly. We don't have a big reception area or a team of people in suits. It’s just us, some wrenches, and the sound of testing equipment. Sometimes the humidity in Mumbai makes the work feel twice as hard, but someone has to keep the chillers running. We’ve seen all kinds of problems with these machines over the years. We just take them apart, figure out what’s wrong, and put them back together. It’s straightforward work. No one here is trying to be anything we’re not. We just know how these systems operate and we stay busy making sure they don't break down when people need them most. It’s loud, it’s cramped, but it’s where we get things done every single day. There is always a lot of grease and a bit of a mess, but the work gets finished.
