Royal Chariot

I work at Royal Chariot over in Office Number 11 at Anil Villa. If you know the Matunga East area, we are just behind Kapol Niwas on Jame Road. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main roads, but we stay busy with the phone calls coming in all day. I usually spend the morning checking on where all our drivers are and making sure the cars are clean and ready. The office is small, just enough space for a desk and some chairs for when people come by to settle their bills or talk about a trip they want to take. Being in Matunga means there’s always good food nearby, so lunch is usually something from one of the local stalls. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when it rains really hard and the roads get blocked, but we just manage as best as we can. We have been in this spot at Anil Villa for a while now, so the neighbors all know us. It’s not a big corporate setup with uniforms or anything like that. We are just a few people trying to keep things moving and making sure the bookings don't get messed up. Some days are faster than others, but mostly it is just steady work. We keep the keys on a board by the door and there is always a ledger open on the desk to track the kilometers. It’s a bit old fashioned but it works for us.
