Resham

Resham is located at C/37 in the Ajanta Building, right on 3rd Road in Khar West. We are very close to the Khar Railway Station, so we get to hear the trains and the constant announcement speakers all day long. The shop is filled with rolls of fabric and different materials we’ve collected over time. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside because we try to keep so many varieties on the shelves. You’ll find piles of cloth everywhere, and sometimes we have to dig through a few stacks to find exactly what someone is looking for. The light comes in from the front window, but the back of the shop stays a bit dim, lit by a few old tube lights. We don't have a big team or fancy displays; it's mostly just us measuring out yards of fabric and folding them back up. The 3rd Road is always busy with people walking to and from the station, so there’s a lot of energy right outside our door. Sometimes it gets quite dusty with all the threads and lint in the air, but that’s just part of working with textiles. We spend a lot of time talking to people about what they want to make and showing them different textures. It’s a simple, local business where we focus on the materials we have in stock. We aren't a big showroom, just a small place for people who love fabrics and sewing.
