We are based at 31 Lavina, on 52-A Tagore Road in Santa Cruz, Mumbai. Being in Mumbai means there’s never a quiet moment, and Tagore Road is no exception. Our retail space is usually humming with activity from the moment we open up. We spend a lot of time just managing the inventory and making sure the floor looks decent for whoever walks in. It’s a lot of physical work, moving stuff around and checking what we need to order next. The Mumbai humidity can be pretty intense, so we’re always moving a bit slower in the afternoons. We aren't a big, fancy showroom; it’s a more practical space where we focus on getting products to the people who need them. We’ve been here in Maharashtra for quite a while and have seen many businesses come and go. We just try to be consistent. Some days are better than others, especially when the deliveries are all on time and the customers are happy. We don’t have a script for how we talk to people. We just say hello and help them find what they’re looking for. It’s a straightforward way to run a business. We like being in Santa Cruz because of the energy of the people. Every day is a bit different, and that’s what keeps us going. We just stay focused on the tasks and the shop.
