Red Zen

We are located on the first floor of the Andheri Mahal Industrial Estate. It is a very busy area near the Mumbai International Airport, so there is always a lot of noise and traffic outside. Being in an industrial estate means we get a lot of office workers and people from the local businesses coming in for their lunch breaks. It's not the kind of place you'd expect to find a restaurant like Red Zen, but we've been here for a while. The walk up to the first floor is a bit plain, but once you get inside, it’s a different world from the dusty street. We kept the interior simple and functional. Since the airport is so close, we sometimes get travelers who are staying at the nearby hotels and want something different from hotel food. We don't spend money on fancy decorations. Most of our effort goes into the kitchen. The menu has a variety of things, mostly stuff that people can eat quickly and get back to work. Our staff knows how to move fast because the lunch hour is always a rush. In the evenings, it gets a bit quieter when the offices shut down, and that's when the vibe changes. It's just a practical place for people who work or live in this part of Andheri. We don't pretend to be anything we aren't. Just a solid spot for a meal in a busy industrial zone. It's not fancy but it works.
