Real Flowers

Real Flowers is situated at 4 Lilabhai Compound, which is right near the fire brigade on Sahar Road in Kandivali West. It’s a decent spot, easy to describe to people who are looking for us. The compound has its own bustle, and being near the fire station means there’s always something going on nearby. We’ve been operating out of this space for a while now. The shop itself is pretty straightforward. We have our workspace where we put everything together and an area for people to see what we have available. It can get a bit hot in the afternoons, so we spend a lot of time making sure everything stays watered and doesn't wilt. Sahar Road is a busy stretch, so we get a lot of people stopping in while they’re stuck in traffic or waiting for a bus. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around; we just want to be a reliable place for the people living in Kandivali. There are days when we are overflowing with stock and other days when it’s a bit thinner, depending on the season and what's available at the market. We don't use any fancy machinery or high-end systems. It’s mostly just us using our hands and keeping track of things in a simple notebook. It’s a very manual process, from unloading the trucks to the final cleanup at night. We like being part of the Lilabhai Compound and the Sahar Road community.
