Rasulbhai Adamji

Rasulbhai Adamji is located right on Colaba Causeway at number 48. Being next to the police station makes it easy for people to find us, even if the crowds get thick. This part of Mumbai is always moving. We open up the shop and start setting things out every morning. It’s a lot of work keeping things organized when there’s so much coming in and out. We aren't a big corporate chain. It’s a local place. You can hear the tourists and the traffic outside all the time. Sometimes we just sit for a minute when it’s quiet, but that doesn't happen often on the Causeway. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. The shop itself has been through a lot too. We keep the shelves stocked and try to stay on top of what people are looking for. It gets dusty with the road right there, so there is a lot of cleaning to do. We don't use any fancy systems, just the way we've always done things. It works for us and our regulars know where to find us. If you walk past the station, you'll see our sign. We keep things pretty straightforward here. No big speeches or goals, just running the business and making sure we’re ready for the next day. It’s a busy life but we like being in the heart of Colaba. That's just how Rasulbhai Adamji operates.
