Rass Engineering Work

Rass Engineering Work is set up on the ground floor of the Cheena Building, which is 42/50 over in Mumbai Central. Being on the ground floor is handy because we don’t have to deal with stairs or elevators when things are coming in or going out. Mumbai Central is always moving, never a quiet moment around here. You can hear the trains and the horns from the street all day long. The building itself is an old one, got that classic feel to it with thick walls and high ceilings that keep it a bit cooler when the sun is really beating down outside. We’ve got our tools and our benches all laid out exactly how we like them. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, there’s usually a bit of grease and metal shavings around, but that’s just how an engineering shop looks when people are actually working. We don't spend much time worrying about how the front looks to people passing by. We are more concerned with the actual jobs we have on the floor. Most of the people who come here are regulars who have known us for years. They know where we are, right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Mumbai Central. It’s a tough, honest way to make a living and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We just keep our heads down and get the repairs and builds done as they come in.
