Our office is over in Andheri at 1st Cross, occupying units 501 to 508. It is a decent-sized space since we have several rooms joined together. Rashmi Housing Pvt Ltd has been operating out of this building for quite some time now. When you walk in, you will see rows of desks and people busy on their computers. It is a functional environment without much in the way of decoration or art. We focus more on the housing projects we have going on rather than making the office look like a fancy showroom. There are usually stacks of papers and site plans laying around on the larger tables. We have a small area where we sit down to talk about things, but mostly it is just a place of work. Andheri is a central spot, so it makes it easy for us to get to different sites from here. We are not much for fancy titles or corporate structures; we just have different people handling different tasks. Sometimes the elevators in the building are slow, so we have learned to be patient during the morning rush. We spend a lot of our time looking at blueprints and talking to contractors on the phone. It is a lot of coordination and follow-up. We just stay here at 1st Cross and keep things moving. It is a busy life but we are used to it by now.
