Ramesh Grain Stores

We’ve been here at Shop No. 2 in the Apna Sahakari Society for a while now. Most people know us because we're right near the Masjid on Aarey Road. It’s a busy spot in Goregaon East, but we managed to make it work. My father started things out and now we just keep it going every day. We handle grains mostly. People come in for their monthly stock and we try to keep things organized on the shelves. It gets a bit crowded in the mornings when the deliveries arrive, but that’s just how it is. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just the shop and the stock. Sometimes the traffic on Aarey Road makes it hard for people to park, but our regulars know where to tuck their bikes. We spend most of our time weighing bags and chatting with the neighbors who stop by. It isn't a complicated business. We just make sure the rice and wheat are clean and ready to go. If you are walking past the society, you'll see us. We’re usually there from early morning until the evening. It’s just honest work. Nothing more to it than that. We know the faces of the people living around here and they know us. That’s what matters at the end of the day. We stay busy enough and try to keep the shop floor tidy.
