Rajesh Provision Stores

Rajesh Provision Stores has been in Goregaon West for a long time. We are in Sector 17, specifically at C 90. It’s a grocery shop, plain and simple. We’ve got the big sacks of rice sitting near the entrance and shelves filled with lentils, soaps, and biscuits. It’s a neighborhood spot where we know most of the customers by their first names. We know who likes which brand of tea and who always forgets to bring their own bag. The shop isn't shiny or modern. We still use an old scale for some things, though we have the digital one too. In the mornings, it’s a rush of mothers getting stuff for school lunches. Later on, it’s the older folks taking their time. We don't do any big promotions or flashy signs. The wooden counters are worn smooth from years of people leaning on them while they chat. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once, but nobody seems to mind the squeeze. We keep the inventory written down in a thick ledger book. It’s a lot of lifting and moving boxes, which keeps us tired but it’s good work. We just try to keep the staples in stock so nobody has to go too far for their daily needs. That's really all there is to it. We keep the doors open until late every evening.
