Raj Novelty

Number 8 in Amrit Nagar is where you will find us. Mulund West is a nice area, feels a bit more like a community than some other parts of the city. We have been in this little spot for a good while. Raj Novelty isn't a huge place, just a regular shop floor with plenty of items tucked into every corner. It can get a bit crowded on Saturday evenings when everyone is out for a walk and browsing. We usually open up a bit later in the morning compared to the offices nearby. The street outside is mostly residential, so we know a lot of the faces that walk past every day. Sometimes a stray cat hangs around the entrance, waiting for a bit of milk. We keep the place tidy, or as tidy as you can keep a novelty shop with so many small things everywhere. There isn't a lot of fancy decoration here. We just use the wooden shelves we’ve had since the beginning. My cousin helps out sometimes when it gets busy during the festival seasons. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the one everyone is used to seeing. It's a simple life, really. We open the doors, talk to the locals, and handle the day's business one customer at a time. It’s quiet enough that you can actually have a conversation without shouting, which I appreciate.
