If you are looking for us, we are over in Santacruz. Our office is basically a room inside the A. K. Patel Bungalow on V.P. Road. It’s near the Arya Samaj, which most locals know well. It is a bit different from those big corporate towers because it feels more like a home. You have to walk through the gate and find Room number 1. It is usually quiet around here compared to the main road. We started Raahitya Constructions to handle building work around Mumbai and we’ve stayed in this spot because it's convenient. There is a lot of old charm in this part of Santacruz. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that. Usually, there are just a couple of us sitting at desks with drawings and calculators. Sometimes the neighbor’s dog barks during calls, but we just get used to it. Dealing with construction means we are often out at sites anyway, but this bungalow is where the planning happens. It’s a decent place to work from. We’ve got a small kettle for chai and a lot of folders stacked up on the shelves. It’s a simple arrangement for a construction company. People stop by to drop off materials or check on plans. We prefer keeping things low-key and just focusing on the actual building work we have scheduled for the month.
