Working out of the Kshamalaya Building is a bit of a different experience. We are located at 201 Marine Lines, but the address also lists New Sama Road and Cactus Park Society. It is a bit of a confusing legacy, I suppose. The building has been standing for a long time and it has that classic old Mumbai atmosphere. Our office stays quiet for the most part of the day. We deal with a lot of paperwork and various meetings. It is definitely not the kind of place where things happen at a lightning pace. We like to take our time to make sure everything is handled correctly. The view from the window is mostly just other tall buildings and the crowded street down below. Marine Lines has changed an awful lot since we first set up here. You can see the old structures and new towers mixing together everywhere you look. We aren't big fans of flashy decorations or modern office furniture. Our desks are made of old, heavy wood and the files are kept in simple metal cabinets. It feels solid and reliable. People come to see us when they need things handled without any unnecessary fuss. We don’t do a lot of talking just for the sake of it. Most of our day is spent reading through documents and writing letters. It is a routine that works well for us.
