R Vadilal & Sons has been operating out of Ahmedabad Street 204 for a long time. This area is known for its trade, and we are just one of the many businesses packed into these old buildings. Our daily life involves a lot of paperwork, checking ledgers, and talking to suppliers on the phone. The office is small and filled with old files and samples of the stuff we deal in. It’s not the kind of place that looks impressive, but it’s where all the work happens. We deal with a lot of regular clients who have been coming to us for decades. Sometimes they just stop by for a chat and a cup of tea even if they don’t need to buy anything that day. That’s just the culture on Ahmedabad Street. We don’t have a marketing department or a fancy website; we just rely on the fact that people know where to find us and know that we’ve been doing this for years. My sons are involved in the business now, and they bring a bit more energy to the place, but the way we do things hasn't changed much. We focus on the orders, make sure the billing is correct, and try to get things shipped out on time. The traffic on this street can be a nightmare for deliveries, so that’s usually our biggest headache every afternoon. We just take it one day at a time and keep the business going.
