R S Engineering

R S Engineering is based out of No. 8- C in the Bharat Industrial Estate on Ram Mandir Road. If you know Goregaon East, you know it gets quite loud around here with all the factories running. We’ve been in this unit for a long time. Our floor is usually covered in metal shavings and the smell of grease. That is just how an engineering shop is. We do a lot of custom parts and repairs for machines used in other factories nearby. It is heavy work and our hands are rarely clean. We use some old-school lathes and a few newer tools too. It depends on what the job needs. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably find us at the back working on a piece of steel. Sometimes the measurements are tricky and we have to start over. It’s part of the process. We've got a small crew of guys who have been doing this for years. They know the sounds the machines make when something is off. We get a lot of walk-ins from the other units in the estate. Usually, someone needs a bracket welded or a shaft turned. We just get on with it. The rain sometimes leaks through the roof in the corner, but we just move the stuff out of the way. It's a practical place for practical work. We don't mind the noise much anymore. It is just the sound of things getting made.
