R B Motor is right here in Vasant Nagar, Malad West. We’ve been at Shop 16 in the D Wing for a while now, just across from Evershine Mall. It gets busy on the Link Road, especially during the evenings when everyone is heading home, but we stay open to help folks out with their vehicles. Mostly, we deal with routine stuff like oil changes or fixing small mechanical problems that pop up unexpectedly. It’s a small shop, nothing fancy. You might see a couple of cars parked outside waiting for a part to arrive. Sometimes it takes a day or two if the traffic is bad for the delivery guys. My hands are usually greasy by mid-morning, which is just how it goes in this line of work. We know the neighbors pretty well since we've been in this spot. The mall across the way brings in a lot of people, so we see many faces. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s home for us. We just focus on getting the work done so people can get back on the road. There’s always coffee brewing in the corner if you have to wait for a quick fix. We don't have a big waiting room, just a stool or two. It’s practical work. We’ve seen all kinds of cars come through here, from old beaters to newer models. Every day is a bit different depending on what breaks down. It's just us working hard.
