Priti Arts

Our place is at 109 Shakur Marg right in the middle of Kalbadevi. It is always loud outside with the traffic and people shouting, but inside we just focus on the work. The shop has been here a long time and the walls show it. We have these old wooden shelves that hold everything we need. Most mornings start with cleaning the dust off the front window because the street is so busy. It’s not a very large space, so we have to be careful where we put things or someone might trip. The light isn't great in the back corner, so we use a desk lamp there. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how things run. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when deliveries arrive at the same time as customers, but we manage somehow. We usually have the radio on low in the background. It helps pass the time when things are slow. We don't do fancy meetings or anything like that. We just talk across the room. If someone needs something, they just ask. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years, but Shakur Marg still feels the same to us. We know the tea stall guy and the man who sells snacks downstairs. It’s just a regular life here at Priti Arts. We keep busy and stay out of trouble mostly. There is always a lot to finish.
