Prince Bags

You can find Prince Bags right on the ground floor at 229 Janjikar Street. This whole Kalbadevi Road area is always packed with people and carts, so it’s a lively place to be. We are right next to the Noble Store and pretty close to the Jumma Masjid. It’s one of those parts of Kalbadevi where there’s always something happening. Our shop is mostly filled with different types of bags. We’ve got suitcases, backpacks, and everything in between piled up. It can get a bit dusty because of the street, but we do our best to keep things tidy. I’ve been working here for years, and it hasn’t changed much. The noise from the street is constant, but you get used to it after a while. We aren't trying to be a high-end boutique. We are a practical shop for people who need a bag that works. Being near the masjid means we see a lot of foot traffic, especially on Fridays. It’s a small shop, but we fit a lot in there. If you're walking down Janjikar Street, you’ll see us. We don't have a fancy marketing team. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for customers to come in. It’s a basic business in a very busy part of the city. We focus on stocking items that last, because people around here don't want to spend money on things that break easily. That's just how we do things in Kalbadevi.
