Our office is on the second floor of Plot 96D at Villa Modern, right on Worli Seaface. While the address sounds very fancy, Villa Modern is actually a charming old building with a lot of history. You can definitely smell the salt from the ocean when the breeze is coming from the right direction. We handle property matters, mostly focused on the South Mumbai neighborhoods. The office has those high ceilings and heavy doors that you only find in older buildings. We don't have any of that modern glass furniture, just the same wooden desks we have used for years. It is a surprisingly quiet place to work compared to the busy streets of Worli. Sometimes if it is a very still night, you can even hear the cars passing on the Sea Link. We spend our days going through property listings and meeting people who are looking to move into the area. It involves a lot of walking around and checking out old apartments. We don't use any fancy technology, just our mobile phones and some thick notebooks. My partner takes care of the legal side while I handle most of the meetings. We have watched the Mumbai skyline change quite a bit from our window over the years. We don't even have a big sign outside. Most people find us because they know we have been in this building forever.
