Our workshop is at Plot No. B-61, in Units 1 and 2 of the Veena Industrial Estate. If you know the area, we are on the ground floor, just off the New Link Road in Andheri West. We are tucked away right behind the Monginis Bakery, so it usually smells like bread and cakes around here in the mornings. Precision Engineering Co. has been in this spot for a long time. The space is filled with lathes, milling machines, and stacks of metal rods. It’s a real working shop, so it’s loud and there’s oil on the floor most days. We don’t have a fancy office or a place for people to sit and wait. Usually, if a client comes by, we just talk over the sound of the machines right there on the floor. It’s a busy environment with a lot of heavy lifting. We spend our time making parts and fixing mechanical bits for various companies. The team is small, just a few of us who know the machines inside out. We don’t go in for big marketing or polished brochures. Our work is just about getting the dimensions right and finishing the jobs on time. It gets very humid here, especially being on the ground floor, so we keep the big doors open for air. It’s just a regular Mumbai industrial unit where we do our best with the tools we have.
