Our place is over in Wadari Pada, specifically in Sai Leela Chawl. It is Kandivali East, so it’s a pretty packed neighborhood with lots of families and small shops all around. Being in a chawl means we are right in the middle of everything, and there is never a quiet moment. We run the civil construction business from here, mostly focusing on the practical side of things like getting the right cement and making sure the masonry work is solid. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls; it’s a real working space where we keep our tools and ledgers. We spend a lot of our time out on the field, but this is where we come back to figure out the budgets. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult, especially when we are trying to move materials through the narrow lanes. We know the people around here, and they know what we do. If a wall needs fixing or a small structure needs to go up, we are usually the ones thinking about how to do it cheaply but well. It’s a lot of manual labor and coordination with different crews. We don’t have a big marketing team, just a few of us who know how to build things. We wake up early, get to work, and try to finish before it gets too dark to see. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy every single day of the week.
