Prakash Habade

My name is Prakash Habade and I run my business out of Shop 4 in Rameshwar Sadan. You can find me in the Prabhadevi area, right at Kasture Chowk and across the way from Bengal Chemicals. I’ve been in this shop for several years now. It’s a small space, but it works for what I do. I usually handle things on my own or with one helper. The neighborhood around Prabhadevi is always moving, but my shop stays pretty much the same. I spend my days dealing with local clients who know where to find me. It’s a very simple setup—just a couple of chairs and a desk. I don’t believe in having a lot of fancy decorations because they don’t help get the work done. Most people find out about me through word of mouth or by just walking past the shop on their way to the chowk. I try to be honest with everyone who comes through the door. If I can help, I will, and if I can’t, I’ll say so. It’s a practical way to live. I’ve seen businesses come and go in Rameshwar Sadan, but I just keep doing my thing every day. It’s not a big corporate operation, just me working in the heart of the city. I’ve lived in this part of town for a long time, so seeing the familiar faces of my neighbors is the best part of the job.
