Working at Prakash Fabcon & Engineering Pvt Ltd means dealing with the constant buzz of Andheri East. We are located right on Sector 17 Main Road, specifically at number 10. It is a very high-traffic area, so there is always a layer of dust on the windows and the sound of horns in the background. Our facility is a mix of an office and a large fabrication floor. The office part is mostly just a few desks covered in blueprints and coffee mugs. The real action happens in the back where the welding and cutting take place. You can often see the blue flashes of the welding torches from the street if the big shutters are open. It’s a busy environment where everyone is usually moving fast to meet some deadline or another. We don't have any polished marble floors or fancy artwork on the walls. The walls are mostly covered in calendars and safety notices that have been there for years. Lunch usually involves someone going out to the main road to get samosas or vada pav for the whole crew. The main road can get flooded during the heavy rains, which sometimes slows things down, but we usually find a way to keep things moving. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place where the focus is entirely on the engineering tasks we have in front of us. No one here cares much for corporate titles or formal meetings.
