Our shop is down on Station Road in Kalwa, right in the Shri Laxman Coop Society at Room No 111. If you are looking for us, we are just opposite the Bank of India. It’s a busy little spot, especially with the station being so close. People are always rushing past. We sell all sorts of things, from light bulbs and wires to hammers and nails. The shop is a bit cramped because we try to fit as much stock as we can on the shelves. It’s often a bit dusty, and there is usually a smell of metal and plastic in the air. We’ve been here in Thane for a good while now, and we know a lot of the people who live nearby. They come in when a pipe leaks or a switch breaks at home. We don't have a website or any fancy marketing. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for customers to come in. Sometimes we spend half the day just looking for a specific bolt that a customer needs in a pile of boxes. It’s hard work, standing on our feet all day, but it’s what we do. We try to be helpful when people ask questions about how to fix things. It’s a simple, honest hardware store, and we are just regular people trying to make a living. There is always tea being passed around and someone complaining about the heat.
