Our shop is at K-11 in the Ansa Industrial Estate. It’s right on Saki-Vihar Road in Sakinaka. If you know the area, you know how the traffic is. It’s always loud with the sound of horns and trucks outside. Inside our unit, it’s a different kind of loud. We have machines running all day, making parts and components. The air smells like cutting oil and old metal. We have a small mezzanine where we keep some of the lighter stuff, but most of the heavy work happens on the ground floor. The walls are painted a dull grey and have stains from years of work. We have a small table in the corner where we eat our lunch together. It’s not a fancy place at all. We have tools hanging on pegboards and half-finished projects sitting on the workbenches. Sometimes we stay late when a machine breaks down or a big order needs to go out the next morning. Sakinaka is a busy hub for engineering, so we have a lot of neighbors doing similar work. We often borrow tools from each other or help out when someone’s short-handed. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to answer the phones professionally. Usually, someone just wipes their hands on a rag and picks up the line. We just do the work and try to get it right.
