Prabhat Flowers

Prabhat Flowers is located in Dadar West, right across from the Avanti Apartment. If you know Mumbai, you know that Dadar is the heart of the flower trade. We are right in the thick of it. Our day starts way before the sun comes up. While most people are sleeping, we are already at the shop, dealing with fresh arrivals. The smell of jasmine and roses is everywhere, which is a nice way to start the morning. Our space is not very large, but we make use of every inch. There are buckets of water and stems all over the floor. It is a messy job, but we don't mind it. Being opposite Avanti Apartment makes it easy for the locals to find us when they need something for a puja or a wedding. We don't have a website or a big marketing plan. We just rely on the flowers being fresh and people knowing we are here. The traffic in Dadar West can be a nightmare, but our little corner stays busy regardless. We have customers who have been coming to us for years. They know our names and we know theirs. It is a simple life, focused on the seasons and what is blooming. We don't try to be anything other than a local flower shop. It is hard work, staying on your feet all day, but we like it. We have been at this spot for a long time and we know the neighborhood and the people well.
