Ayaan Engineering Works

If you have ever been down to Madina Market on Khairani Road in Andheri East, you know how busy it gets. Ayaan Engineering Works is right in the middle of all that noise and movement. It is a small shop, but we have been here for a long time. My hands are usually covered in oil or dust by midday, and that is just how it is in this line of work. We handle a lot of different engineering jobs, mostly fixing parts or making small pieces for machines. The market is always crowded with people and trucks, so it can be a bit loud during the day. We take our tea breaks at the stall across the way, which is when we get a chance to catch our breath. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just a workshop with the tools we need and a few benches. Sometimes the electricity acts up, but we just wait it out and get back to work. We don’t really do any advertising. Most of our customers are people from the neighborhood or other businesses in the market who know our face. We try to be honest about how long a job will take. It’s hard work, especially when it gets hot in the summer, but it keeps us busy and we like being part of the local market life here in Andheri.
