Varachha Road is always moving, especially near the Kapodra Char Rasta where things get a bit chaotic. Our spot is in the Gayatri Society, right there at Chandivali. It’s a busy corner. Most days, we are just managing the different routes and making sure the drivers know where they are supposed to be. People stop by all the time asking about timings or if there is space on a certain trip. It gets dusty with all the traffic passing by, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We keep a few ledgers and a computer to keep track of everything. It isn't a massive corporate setup with suits. It’s just us in a small room trying to keep the schedules straight. Sometimes the phones won't stop ringing and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the tea kettle. We’ve been around this neighborhood for a bit, so people know the name. We don’t spend money on big signs. The address is simple enough to find if you know the landmark. There’s usually a bit of a crowd near the junction, which makes parking a bit of a headache. We just deal with the daily stuff as it comes. Booking tickets, answering questions about baggage, and making sure the buses depart on time. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till the evening lights come on. We stay until the last bus is sorted and everything is quiet for the night.
