Pooja Engineering Works

Down in Dahisar East, over at Ketkipada 7, is where our little engineering shop is located. It’s further out from the main city center, so things feel a bit different here, maybe a little less rushed but still plenty busy. We have a small setup where we do various mechanical and engineering tasks. The floor is concrete and usually has some oil stains on it from the machines. We’ve got a lathe and some drills that have been with us since we started. They aren't the newest models, but they get the job done if you treat them right. We don't really have a front office, just a small stool and a desk where we keep our notebooks. Most of the time, you’ll find us hunched over a piece of metal trying to get the measurement exactly right. It’s quiet work in some ways, but loud in others. We get a lot of people from the local area bringing in parts that need fixing or something custom they want us to make. We don’t do any advertising. People just know where we are by word of mouth. Sometimes we stay late when a job needs finishing, and the only sound is the cricket chirping outside in the bushes. It’s a simple life, working with metal and tools every day. We don’t plan on moving or changing much. We like our spot in Dahisar just fine.
