We've been here at Pritam Niwas on Karnik Road for a while now. Most people know the spot because we're right across from the MSEB Office in Kalyan. It's a busy corner, especially in the mornings when folks are heading to work or stopping by to pay their electricity bills. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a regular place where we get on with our daily tasks. We open up the shutters early, sweep the front step, and get things ready for whoever walks through the door. Sometimes the traffic on Karnik Road gets pretty loud with all the rickshaws and buses, but you get used to that noise after a few years. People often pop in just to ask for directions to the government offices if they're new to the area. We don't mind helping out. It's just how things go in this part of Thane. Living and working in the same neighborhood means you see the same faces every day. You get to know who takes the bus and who prefers to walk. We try to keep things simple and just do what we need to do without making a big fuss. The building itself has its little quirks, like any older place in Kalyan, but it works fine for us. We've got our routine down. It’s a quiet life mostly, just keeping the shop running and making sure everything is in its place before we head home. There isn't much more to say really, just a local business doing its bit on a normal street for the local people who live and work around Karnik Road.
