Poddar Tools & Abrasives Pvt Ltd is located over at Shop No. 45 in Ashoka Vihar. We are right opposite Hindustan Spicer in the Ambad area, which is a pretty industrial part of town. Our shop is filled with all sorts of tools and abrasive materials, the kind of things that factory workers and builders need every day. It’s often quite dusty inside because of the nature of the products, but that’s just part of the job. We spend most of our time answering questions about which grinding wheel or tool is right for a specific task. There are three or four of us here most days, just trying to keep the inventory organized, which is harder than it sounds. Ambad is a busy place with a lot of movement, so there’s always someone dropping in to grab something they forgot for their project. We don't do much in the way of promotion; we just rely on being in a good spot where people can reach us easily. The shop isn't big, but we make use of every inch of shelf space. Sometimes the deliveries arrive all at once and the place gets a bit chaotic, but we sort through it eventually. It’s a straightforward business where we focus on having the right stock on hand at all times. We’ve been here in Ashoka Vihar long enough that most of the other shop owners know us by name.
