Pioneer Engineering Works

Our workshop is tucked away at F/27 in the Laxmi Industrial Estate, right off Veera Desai Road in Ahdheri West. It can be a bit of a maze back here, but we’ve been at this spot for quite some time now. We do engineering work, mostly fixing things or making parts that people can't find elsewhere. The machines are old but they still run fine if you know how to handle them. It gets loud during the day with all the cutting and grinding going on, so we usually have to shout to hear each other. The floor is always covered in metal shavings and oil, no matter how much we sweep. That’s just the nature of the work we do at Pioneer Engineering Works. We don’t have a fancy office or a receptionist. If you walk in, you’ll probably find one of us covered in grease under a machine. People bring us drawings or sometimes just a broken part, and we see what we can do. It’s a small team, just a few guys who know their way around a lathe. The traffic on Veera Desai Road is a nightmare sometimes, but once you’re inside the estate, it’s all about the work. We finish what we start and move on to the next job. It's a living. We don't claim to be anything we aren't. It's just a regular workshop where we put in our hours and try to get the jobs done right.
