Our office is situated in the Central-Complex over in Khopat, Thane West. It’s a pretty easy place to find if you’re familiar with the area. We’ve been working as architects here for a good while, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. The office itself is usually a bit of a mess with floor plans and material samples scattered everywhere, but we know where everything is. We don't really go in for the fancy corporate look with glass walls and silent hallways. We’d rather spend our time figuring out how to make a layout work better for a family or a business. Architecture is a lot more about problem-solving than people think. It’s not just about how a building looks from the outside; it’s about making sure the plumbing makes sense and the stairs aren't in a weird place. We spend a lot of our time on the phone with contractors or down at the sites checking on the progress. It can be a bit of a grind when the weather is bad or materials are late, but we just deal with it. We aren't a huge firm, so you usually end up talking directly to the person doing the drawings. We like it that way because it keeps things simple and avoids misunderstandings. No layers of management to go through, just straightforward talk about the project. We’ve done all sorts of buildings around Thane and we just aim to keep doing decent work.
