Pentax Engineering is located in the Bharat Velvet Compound over in Safed Pool. If you know Sir M. Vasanji Road, you know how crowded it gets around here. Our place is right in the middle of all that action. We do engineering work, mostly parts and components for other companies. It’s not the kind of place where you’d see people in suits. We’re usually in our work clothes, covered in a bit of grease or dust. The compound has a lot of history, and we’ve been part of it for a while now. The building isn't new, but it holds our machines just fine. We have a small team, and everyone knows their role. There’s no big hierarchy here. If something needs fixing, we just fix it. We don’t have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just show up in the morning, check the schedule, and get to work. Dealing with logistics in Safed Pool can be a headache because of the narrow lanes and the trucks, but we’ve figured out the best times for pickups. It’s a practical life. We aren't trying to change the world, just making sure the engineering specs are met and the parts are sturdy. It gets loud and busy, but that’s just how an engineering shop should be. We’re just local people making things that work.
