Peass Industrial Engineering Ltd

Our office is on the second floor of Merchant Chambers, right at 41 New Marine Lines. It’s an old building, but it has a lot of character, and being so close to the station means there’s always a crowd outside. Peass Industrial Engineering has been operating out of this space for a good bit of time. The elevators can be a bit slow in the morning, so most of us just take the stairs to the second floor to get the blood moving. Inside, it’s mostly desks piled with folders and computer screens showing technical diagrams. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to people at the plants or coordinating with suppliers. You can hear the city noise from the windows, but it’s sort of like background music after a while. Sometimes the sea breeze reaches us, which is nice during the humid months. We deal with industrial machinery and engineering setups, so there is always a lot of paperwork to keep track of. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s productive. Most of the staff has been here long enough that we know whose birthday it is without looking at a calendar. We don't really do the whole corporate lounge thing; we just have a small corner with a kettle and some biscuits. It’s a decent place to spend the day working on engineering problems.
