Pattern Bags

I run Pattern Bags, which is located on the first floor of India House at No. 246 Abdul Rehman Street. This street is always packed with people and traffic, it’s a real hub for wholesale stuff. Being on the first floor means it’s a bit quieter than the ground level, but not by much. We focus on all kinds of bags. The room is filled with different patterns and materials. I spend a lot of my time looking at samples and making sure we have enough stock for the season. It’s a lot of paperwork and talking to customers who come up the stairs. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, but people don't seem to mind. I’ve lived in this city all my life and working on Abdul Rehman Street feels natural. It’s a bit of a maze inside India House if you don't know your way around. We’ve got bags piled up almost to the ceiling sometimes. It gets a bit cramped, but that’s just how it is here. I drink a lot of tea while I’m going over the orders. The lighting isn't the best, but we get the job done. It’s a basic operation. I handle the buying and the selling. My hands are usually busy with something or the other. It is just a regular day at the shop for me.
