Pathak Travels

If you know 146 S V Road near Sane Guruji Marg, then you know where Pathak Travels is. It’s a busy spot. The traffic on S V Road is basically a constant roar, and we’ve gotten used to it over the years. Our office isn't very big. We have a few chairs for people to sit on while we look up train tickets or bus routes on the computer. Sometimes the internet acts up and we have to wait, which gives us time to talk to the customers about their families or where they're headed. We've been doing this for a long time. I remember when we did everything by hand in big books. Now it's all digital, but the way we talk to people hasn't changed much. The walls are covered with a few old maps and some calendars from years ago that we never took down. It feels like home to me. My nephew helps out sometimes when it gets really busy during the holiday seasons. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. People just know we're here. We do a lot of local trips and some longer ones too. It’s just about getting people from one place to another without too much trouble. We close up when the street lights come on, usually.
