Running Parth Glass House out of Vikhroli Mangal Bazar is definitely an experience. We are right there near the Godrej company, so there is always movement around here. In Vadodara, the heat can be a real pain when you are moving heavy sheets of glass. I have spent many days just trying to keep the dust off the surfaces. It gets everywhere. Most of the people who come in are locals who need a window fixed or maybe a mirror for their bathroom. We don’t have a fancy showroom with lights and air conditioning. It is just a shop with glass stacked against the walls and the smell of cutting oil. Sometimes I worry about the edges being too sharp when kids run past the front. The bazar is noisy, and you hear everything from people arguing over vegetable prices to the trucks backing up. My hands have a few small scars from over the years, which is just part of the job I guess. We try to get things done when people ask, but sometimes we run behind. That’s just how it goes in a small shop. If the glass isn't right, we just try again. It's not a big operation, just a few of us working near the main road. The Godrej workers walk past every shift change. It’s a good spot, even if it is a bit crowded. There is always something to do here in the bazar area.
