Pankaj Farsan & Wafer Mart

Pankaj Farsan & Wafer Mart is a small shop we run. We are located in Vile Parle East, specifically around the Rajendra Park and Rabari Colony Road area, near Odhav 20. It is a bit of a mouthful to say the address, but once you get here, it’s easy to see us. We spend most of our mornings getting the snacks ready. The smell of frying wafers usually fills the air by eight in the morning. We don't have a giant factory or anything like that. It’s just a local mart where we bag everything up by hand. Some days the chips are a little saltier than others, but that is what happens when real people are making them. We have been in this spot for years and the neighbors all know us. We see kids coming in after school for a small packet of something to eat. It’s a steady business. We don't do much in the way of marketing or social media. We just put the snacks on the shelves and people buy them. The shop gets a bit cramped when we get a delivery of flour or oil, but we manage to move things around. It’s a practical way to earn a living. We aren't looking to change much. We just want to keep the fryers going and the bags full for whoever stops by.
