Our spot is at 25/26 Bunder East in the Patwa Chambers building. It’s a busy area and the stairs can be a bit narrow when we are trying to move large frames around. We deal with all sorts of things related to art and decorating walls. It started out as a small interest and just grew into this shop over time. We have stacks of canvases and different types of frames leaning against the walls. It’s often a bit dusty because of the wood cutting we do in the back. Customers come in with old photos they want saved or new paintings that need a nice border. We also handle some bigger supplies for people who like to paint themselves. It’s not a quiet place because there is always someone hammering or a delivery truck outside. Sometimes we get stuck on a difficult framing job that takes twice as long as we thought. We don’t really do big advertisements; people just seem to find us or hear about us from their neighbors. The light in the shop isn't always the best, but we know where everything is kept. Dealing with customers can be interesting since everyone has a different idea of what looks good on their wall. We just try to help them find what they are looking for without making it too complicated. It’s a lot of measuring and double-checking sizes so things fit right.
